Bradford-West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters
Our work with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury on this impressive project included many important upgrades for this flourishing community, as set out in the Town’s master plan. A new 19,000-square-foot Fire Hall to serve the local population and house a combined full-time and volunteer fire service. A retrofit of the the existing fire station into a Public Works facility. A new shared fueling station constructed for Fire, Police, and Public Utilities. Salt vehicle storage building to improve road salting times in a major snow event. Civil engineering upgrades to improve the existing water quality and quantity discharging into the Lake Simcoe Regional Conservation Authority lands.
Pinpoint developed a 30% design for all facilities and site works situated on a 5.8-acre property. After rigorous collaboration and deliberation of the project with the client, our team was able to provide a solution that met the Town’s goals at a significant saving to the budget. Our design formed the basis of a solicitation to secure a contractor in a public design-build Request-For-Proposals. During the tendering phase, Pinpoint participated in the selection and negotiation process that ensured the best possible outcome for the Town. Our scope also included contract administration and payment certification during the construction phase. We were part of this project from conceptual sketches to final operational occupancy.
