Bradford Community Hub Building
Our work with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury started in 2021. The goal was to convert an old school into a place that the community can come together. The Town also had the vision of revitalizing the building, making it as efficient and green as possible. Our teams design qualified us for the federal government’s Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program. The federal grant help offset the cost to the local community by about $5.3 million. The building features a reception area, food storage, community gardens, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and a large multi-purpose room.
The former Bradford Public School at 177 Church Street has been converted into a social hub to support the local community. Tenants include Helping Hand Food Bank, WOW Living, Catulpa Community Support Services, and Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions. The building will also offer special programs, amenities, public garden, and additional space for the Town to use. The facility will provide a central location for social service agencies and Town programs.
